Find of the Week (4)

During all of my thrifting, antiquing, vintage-ing, etc, there's always something that stands out!

When I first saw these suede heels at my local thrift store, I was so sure they were vintage!!

They're actually modern shoes from Nine West, but wow, how 1930s do these look??

I love the cut outs and the the little strap!

I think I've found my new dancing shoes!!

Do you have any pieces that are modern but vintage 'inspired'?

What great vintage or thrift finds did you uncover this week??

Bella's Slouchy Striped Hat from Eclipse

Ever since seeing Twilight "Eclipse" last year, I've wanted to knit a hat like the one Bella wore at the end of the movie.

Sorry, Team Jacob fans! This is the only pic of the hat I could find!
Source: Team-Twilight

After watching the dvd again on spring break, I 'had' to knit it! I found a pattern on Ravelry from Amy Theissen Designs, that worked out really well.

I used Lion Brand Vanna's Choice in a nubby neutral color and sage green.

Have you ever a seen a knitted item in a movie that you just 'had' to have?
