What's Old is New Again
A lot of today's trends are inspired by vintage items. It's up to you whether you'd rather have the new version or search out the original, vintage version. Here are a few examples I've found this week of recent designs mirroring the past. I was inspired by all the chunky printed wrap sweaters I've been seeing this winter.

huh! This is a really interesting comparison and I really enjoyed studying the differences between the contemporary and the older versions. You did a great job at finding the original sources and the new inspired-by pieces. I love them all, actually, but I especially love the vintage ones. There's something just so... well... authentic about them! Although, the Nadja sweater is just bold, graphic and lovely! (I have a thing for the southwest right now, so I kind of want them all!)
Love this, I've definitely found some sweaters like these at a thrift store for $2.50, I love vintage :)

I love it when old styles come back and I'm loving these wrap sweaters, so warm and cozy. And they work so well with almost everything. :D
Thanks for adding my sweater! It's funny, the modern versions really do borrow from vintage- last year forever 21 has an exact replica of one of the sweaters I had for sale!
I think it would be great to have the vintage original, but I'd have to get what was the most affordable.
Maybe I could thrift one...
WOW..what beautiful sweaters...I'd love to have any of these...
